dso88 15
70-200mm f/4l which is around £700 Is that supposed to be the IS??,or do you mean the L?.If it's just the ordinary f/4L at that price I'd start shopping somewhere else because at that price it's a friggin rip-off! IMH i would only ever buy canon converters, i have tried sigma and they are not as good and, i think, a waste of cash....good luck.. I have a Jessops converter which works perfectly and the AF is spot on,not everyone is made of money like you Darsey! :stinker: due to the 30% increase in may on all canon and nikon gear thats what the price is on them but you can get the sigma one for cheaper and kay your kit lens will come in handy for stuff like when your walking the dogs and stuff like that imo you will always need atleast 2 lenses

JordKil 0
The 18-55 lens is good for landscapes, but you won't be able to focus very close and it won't be much good for bugs. 70-200 or 70-300 would be more suitable for flowers, bugs, and wildlife, and also for the dogs running and sporty stuff. That's the problem with dslrs - you really need several lenses for specific purposes, and it's a bit of a faff carrying them around with you and changing them. You can almost certainly guarantee that you will see the rarest bird on the planet when you have a wide angle lens on the camera That happened to me once Iv got a Canon EOS 450D and I was in Arizona at the grand canyon taking photos of it with a 18-55mm lens and a pair of Condor flew straight up in front of me I was so pissed I managed to get a snap at one of them but its just a black bird shaped speck in the distance ATB Jordan
