targa 5
you dont have to take the 4.2, the 2.8td is good enough. another good 4x4 is the Lada Niva, but you got to have 3 of them, 1to drive with, and the other 2 for spare parts. cheap and the suzuki samourai can't follow him. jasper65 6
I must admit I have loved My Mitsubishi Pajero 2.8, it has all the mod cons and goes anywhere! the down side is its not the most economical of Motors which is why it now has to go, if anyone is Interested its for sale as soon as the plate comes through from the DVLA which is taking ages, the private plate on it I'm keeping . Guest RobW71
What'll it do to the gallon Jasper? How old? Regards Rob
jasper65 6
Hello Rob Its a 94 and doing around 24-25mpg at the most, Just put a ticket on it and it needed a new exhaust front to back, Pads and a tyre! I thought the new exhaust would have made a Improvement on fuel consumption as the old one was blowing for a while but it has'nt.

nelson 0
I've had Landrovers,series2,3 and 90's.Subaru's,Suzuki's and estate cars and in my opinion the Shogun i have now is the better all rounder. 2.5TD,swb proper suspension, not something of an 1850's cart like Fourtrack's have, seats 4 in comfort.Tows a piece of piss, high driving position(good for lamping), and you can get 'em cheap as chips nowadays, some really good imports about in a lot better nick than the UK ones. Whatever you get there has to a trade off in your expectations,if you want cheap insurance get a Suzuki SJ or Samurai,or even a Jimny.Vitara's atart going up a bit on the scale and a 2.0 diesel is the same group as my Shogun with few of the benefits. If ,you want pure off road ability then get a 300tdi Landrover 90,no probs there but you have no creature comforts except a radio, heater and windscreen wipers, apart from the back ache after doing lots of miles they are superb. If you need lots of space and lug a lot of crap about, then a pick up.L200 or Navara are great but Toyota are again a bit agriculural, but the choice is yours. Space, comfort, practicality and a reasonable off road capability go for a Discovery,Shogun,Range Rover type of thing.Cant go wrong as a good all rounder
nelson 0
This is what you want mate, tax excempt, third party insurance, run's on red diesel. Seats 4,night vision equiptment as standard, shoot up to 3000m,day or night, good ground clearence, tow anything you like, gas suspension, off road capability Go for it,impress the neighbours And here's a picture of the Fourtrack suspension design bureau
jasper65 6
They're a lovelly Motor Nelson! I have had my Pajero for a couple of years now and it has'nt missed a beat, it pulls like a train and when towing you don't realise it, Can't fault it for comfort either with adjustable suspension for different terrains, the Shoggy's and the Imported Pajero's are like peas in a Pod! and will get you anywhere. Mine's for sale now, it not practical for me and the familly anymore! when I get the personal plate changed and as soon as the get the logbook back from the DVLA with the original plates back on and TAX changed over its up for sale for £2600, its just gone through a MOT with a new exhaust fitted, brake pads and tyre, if you know anyone or if anyone on the site is interested give us a shout.
