get yourself a hilux double cab there the dogs b ll cks plenty of room for the muts in the back and seat 5 in the cab and nothing beats them off road.

ive got a crewcab and your right about the room for the dogs but i dont agree with the NOTHING BEATS THEM OFFROAD bit, i think mine is shite, not a patch on my old trooper and fourtrak, but its alot more economical its doing 30mpg where as the fourtrak/trooper was about22/23mpg

where did you buy it from?

there was one for sale near me it was PINK :11: and about that age and price, i think you needed an NVQ level 2 in hairdressing to be considered for it.

i was tempted but couldn't see me driving a PINK car  ;)

we have been discussing getting a second car (one for me to go ferreting and shooting in ;) ) the wife has relented and she has decided that i should get a Landy, been looking at defender 90's around the £3000 mark

Father in law has a Suzuki Vitara and it's OK , for grass fields and rough tracks but wont go everywhere a Landy will ;)

Nissan Navara 2.5TD

2.5 DI mate.. ;) .

Not a patch on the mitsabushi warrior :clapper:

Whatever the make ,model ,any 4x4 is only as good as the tyres on it .

So if you change your tyres to rugged offroad type's it will magically double the amount of space you have inside the smaller diatsu's/ suzuki's/rav4's and whatever other small 4x4's that people use... thus giving you plenty of space for dog's and terrier box's.. ..aswell as giving you more power for towing and carrying heavy load's.. ;) .

i find fourtrack to be better on diesel than hilux and the rear diff is to low on the hilux

I've got my eye on a Honda CR V, it's got to be a family motor as well as for Falconry etc, it'll only be use on farm track and fields, does anyone have any experience of them?

A Honda crv would be in danger of getting stuck in the soft grass around a show ring :11: If you want a truck the same size get a fourtrack :guitar:

Different strokes i guess, my friends have fourtracks and Navaras and when I have the cash I will get a navara as it will do the off roading i require and will fit in my wife, two kids and three dogs :clapper: Will also be better off road than my laguna estate :D

For work I have a land rover defender and I have driven shoguns, suzukis, hi-lux and navaras and the defender seems to go anywhere :guitar: Only problem is I do 30,000 miles a year, used to be 50,000 and landys are not exactly comfortable :o

Hair dressers motor... well it Is for my lass but I have been driving it its a decent cheap little motor wanted a sport track but they ones we looked at in our budget where f****d all on h plates and L plates high miles old work horses I took the vitara off road not grassy fields it done fairly well but i have nothing to compare to as the only other 4X4 i have driven is a Subaru ea tset If i had plenty of red ones i would buy a defender with out a doubt.
