lost land of the volcano

i have just watched the last episode of this and all i can say is wow

did anyone else see any of the series i gonna be watching them back on BBC player. 40 new species, the biggest rat in the world over a meter long and all those moths

truly amazing and they want to log the whole place.

 

if this place isn't protected it will be a crime :censored:

I watched it... what really p*sses me off is that they dont put such amazing programmes like that on for the kids at a decent hour! The oldest two are 8 and 9 and they'd have loved to see that.

That giant wooly rat was incredible wasn't he, and so tame too :laugh:

the whole series is on BBCi player so you can show them it on there.

can you imagine the feeling of holding in your arms a new species that has no fear of people what an amazing place totally unspoilt by humans

what about the birds that lay there eggs in the volcanic ash, then leave them there for the volcano to incubate !

and the camera footage was stunning.

Excellent programme although thecaving bit was a bit melodramatic last week.

Can't help thinking that now that it has been shown on TV it'll become a tourist destination.

Ring fence the whole area, pay the tribes money to not sell the land and don't let humans ruin it!

Its been there for thousands of years and survived so as long as we don't feck it up it'll still be there.

Can't say I'm hopeful that it'll happen though
