Artic mate, how the hell is it racist to express concern about having your country as good as invaded by a large number of people who care little for all you hold dear?

 

I couldn't give a monkeys what colour/accent/language/religion these people are, I'm not afraid of them either, I just don't want them in my country.

The muslim immagrants that are now flooding into this country have no respect for us or our way of life.I did not believe this till i started work in a large factory and became the union rep and after representing some of them got to hear their side of the story why they choose this country over others.

 

And being the Union Rep, what were their views?

I think you are afraid of any person abroad wanting to live in the uk. Invading? Come on, grow up!

 

You may not want these people in YOUR counrty, the reality is they will always enter and are here to stay.

 

You need to accept and not fight it.

 

People are not born as racist. If a child is not exposed to racism in its environment, there is no reasons for it to become racist. If however, the child has been brought up to look at people as belonging to a group, such as blacks or whites, instead of individuals, it will begin to compare the groups, and draw conclusions depending on the group that they belong to, instead of the way they are as individuals.

 

This way of thinking will always lead to prejudices, because a person cannot be characterized just by skin color or cultural background.

Had a conversation in a pub years ago with a young female student who was lecturing me on the disgraceful way we treated immigrants, legal and illegal. In the news that week it was reported that the coastguard had picked up two illegals trying to cross the channel on a oversized lilo, add to that the risks they were running trying to sneak through the tunnel stowing away on high speed trains etc. My question to her was, if we treat them so badly why do they continue to come here?, risking life and limb to make the final stage of the journey after having passed through lord only knows how many safe countries. Never got an answer from her, so perhaps Artic or Matt the Rat could offer an explanation.

 

 

I've brought my post up again Artic because as I suspected you would you've failed to answer the question also.

I'm not a racist, I'm a concerned citizen of this country who genuinely thinks Britain is full up and it is now time to end this open door policy, I think I may possibly be wasting my time bringing this to your attention because it seems that you and others like you can't seem to differentiate the two.

I'm not that niave in that I think all our problems are immigrant induced but a whole lot of them are, we have our own home grown scum aplenty without throwing our borders open and inviting the rest of the worlds in.

So I ask again, why do you think they come here ?, we know it isn't sanctuary from harm or danger as they pass through many safe countries to land on our shores.

So what do you think the attraction is?.

Just to add, the EDL have black and mixed race lads that take part in these marches/protests so how can they be called nazi racists? Also if you dislike muslims/islam your not a racist either, this is because islam is a religion not a race. Artic, to be fair you dismiss some of the lads comments like they are the rantings of nutters but you seem very reluctant to believe that some of these people have very genuine concerns about how there communitys are changing, how there way of life is changing.

 

Some lads feel its all being rammed down there throat and they are just not ready and they dont want it.

 

There is nothing racist about having a genuine concern about a way of life you know and love being changed beyond all recognition.

 

As usual, the people that claim to be the most tolerant are actually the most intollerant of all

 

 

If thats how say a lad like Maltenby feels, then he dont need to grow up........thats very narrow minded of you, you cant explain why he shouldnt feel that way you just TELL him he shouldnt.
