alright lads had a good weekend. was out sat had dog on trial went tryed couple of earths found got a mark 4 foot no sound i thhinkig he was stuck because there wasent a sound got down to find him welded to the quarry mid tube. delighted. went out sunday morning wit hounds after 20 min hunting we had one in. collered up the jack dog pup off pikeys dealer dog he went to ground like a vetern we opened up 15 min later finding him ripping into a very nearly dead vixen. that was his second dig and he has the signs of a good one already.

Hope you were back in time for the ALL IRELAND john.

well done,how old is the dog, do you work them as double up or are you ging to try it on it's own or what way you start them,

sounder i have never worked a dog doubled up i just dont believe in it if a dog cant do it on its own its no good simple as. thats the sport in it for me training a dog to enter the quarrys hole and hold the game single handed until dug to. the jack dog is 16 months old. he got his first dig at 14 months he just wanted it good dog men will know what i mean he has that gameness and "look" his sire "the dealer" dog has. good dogs train themselves.

nice bit of sport.very ture good dogs do train them selfs.all the best for the season.

right to set this right straight i read it wrong i was in the thinking that you said .......he went to ground with a veteran not as you said ........he went to ground like a veteran hope that cleared it up for you
