borntoshoot 1
hi all, on my permission is an old barn in a very old and wild pear orchard and it is rotten and falling down, me and 3 mates are camping there this weekend and i personally dont feel its safe to sleep in that bran again so im going to make a new one as best i can. but the only wood i have access to is still growing on the trees and i want to know what is the best wood for me to cut? there is a load of massive beech trees, some holly, pear trees but we dont want them cut down and a few meduim size hazel trees. now, i want a wood that i can split easily for uprights and rafters, it will have re-cycled corrigated iron roof and sides from the old barn so i need fatertype bits accross the top. so what is the best wood to cut from that is available? cheers BTS
