What is involved with obtaining an FAC for air rifles?

Is there any problems anyone has had?

Ive got two guns SMK QB79 can currently do 16lb and a webley FX200 which is around 26LB when turned up. All guns are currently below the 12lb limit at the moment.

All info gratefully received.

Cheers

My mate bought one of them smk's and i wouldn't trust it at 2ft/lb let alone 16ft/lb best place for them is china! My mates used to fire off on it's own. he soon threw it and got a tidy gun (airarms s410) :D . Seriously though them smk's are no good!

FAC is FAC

the land you shoot needs to be inspected and approved for FAC air rifles.

the two firles in question are (imo) not suitable for FAC

the qb will struggle to get that sort of power and the shot count from the fx2000 will be very low ( ok, if you can live with this)

personally i would go for FAC proper .17hmr or similar (presumably you are just after rabbits)

there are more suitable air rifles for FAC.

cheers

Cheers lads.

The SMK was a sack of poo when brought from the shop however I have do a few mods and sods here and there and think it is a good little gun now IMHO. Its a shame they don't take more care when making them, then they would get better press.

Any way back on topic my question was what is needed for the FAC licence?

Is it the same as a rime fire requirements?
