Terrier man 38 Posted September 19, 2009 Report Share Posted September 19, 2009 Any information helpful a mate was looking at one recently 00 and he says the injectors and turbo was done by izuzu as there was a recall on them. 130kmiles with new clutch and flywheel and the 4x4system has bein serviced last week .Would it be a good buy or what? as far as reliablity and econemy? It would depend on price, but on the whole they a good solid reliable truck , do about 25 mpg on average less in town ,more on motorway, hope that helps Quote Link to post Share on other sites

chester 147 Posted September 24, 2009 Report Share Posted September 24, 2009 stay well clear of 3.0 had one for 3yrs hand was never out my pocket. turbo x2 injectors x2 ok done on the recall but was still a cost of £450 each time for the injectors and £200 when the turbo was done never had a day hassel free with the car was in isuzu on more than once for fault finding on the comp. if you can get a 3.1 its a far better car. roybo 2,873 Posted September 28, 2009 Report Share Posted September 28, 2009 it's not the engine thats at fault but likes been mentioned the injectors i had the entire engine replaced free by isuzu, including injectors,turbo head etc etc,now my flywheel has gone,most say once they are done they stay done, jury is still out ...........have it if it dirt cheap or you are loaded very expensive on parts when they go wrong try this site very helpfull indeed http://www.itocuk.co.uk/forums/ Quote Link to post Share on other sites
