davyt63 1,845
hi every one just got back from a trip to my nearest permission an old farm house, not a working farm any more. so i decided to take the HW100 .177 out for a trip and do a bit of lamping.i got there about 7:30pm and got me self set up,and headed in to the front field gave the lamp a quick flick but nothing. but as i made my way to the north side of the field via the hedge row,i had a quick flick again and there was 3 bunnys out,so slowly down on one knee and cross hairs on target THWACK! THWACK! THWACK! i went to pick them up but only found one i knew i should have waited for them to come a bit further out from the hedge as the other 2 must have kicked them selfs back in to the hedge and down there hole! any way i made for the telegraph pole to set up a snipers point, and sat and waited must of been an half hour before the next target came out it was about 35/40 yds, again right on the hegde row about 2 feet away THWACK! it done a good back flip as i done the follow through this time, but when i went to pick it up nothing there so while i was here i had another flick and spotted 2 about 50 yds so started to crawl towards them, lined them up THWACK! THWACK! i didnt hang about htis time and went straight over to them, both dead as stone but i did notice that it was a neck shot must have went straight through its spine.hence the reason for the others kicking away so sorted that out, and headed to the back garden and lamped another 2 here is a pic so in total i had 5 bunnys in the bag and a good couple of hours out,on a lovely evening and this is a group photo happy hunting davy Quote Link to post

I've seen em jump, but to launch 6 feet from standing well sitting was amazing to see! One of mine was a fat bugger as well. Its the biggest I've shot so far, skinned it and its still a fair size Phantom Quote Link to post

Phantom Another time was when a rabbit ran up to a railway sleeper that was used as a fence post and stopped, my mate shot it three times, and it just sat there looking at us, I said his gun was crap and shot it 3 times my self, and it just sat there, I was gobsmacked When we went to have a look at this bullet proof rabbit, we found it had ran onto a six inch nail Quote Link to post
