As we all know the season is so nearly here :D and if your like me you will be like a kid waiting for christmas to arrive.

Im putting this up to get us all in the mood and hopefully people will pull there fingers out and put some more of there tales up.

This experience happened a few year ago before the ban it was before my red dog was on the scene,my old bitch was lame so me being keen and still wanting to get out i took my mates two dogs to a spot local as the car wasn't running well.As i said i was keen but i was keen and stupid this night :wacko: ,as not only was the first field i lamped the one directly behind the farmhouse it was 7.30 in the evening,the farmer was probably still eating his tea. :snack:

I had a quick shine and to my surprise there was a good few hares in the field,so i slipped one of the dogs and a cracking race unfolded,i had to run with the dog to keep up.Up and down,up and down the hare raced with the dog snapping at her heels when suddenly out of nowhere "and it came to no suprise as from where i was and the time" the farmer came racing up the field. :aggressive:

With one of the dogs doing the buisness in the field i decided not to run and just turn the lamp off,get the dog back and just suffer the consequences,so i got the dog back as quickly as i could fearing that this angry farmer might just plough straight into her.

As the farmer got out he was huge,i thought to myself i've got a battle on my hands here :black eye: anyway to cut a long story short as this tale does'nt end here he said "blaah Blaahh get your F*****G dogs F****D off now before i shoot them as they stand :hunter: ,so although i did'nt appreciate this i was glad to get back to the car and make for home.

 

Now two days later i was sat watching the t.v, there was nothing on and it was blowing a gale outside,my feet were twitching,palms sweating i thought sod it i'll go for a dazzle.

The day earlier a mate of mine had rang me up asking if i wanted a van as he had bought a new one"you can have it" he said, so not wanting to look a gift horse in the mouth i gladly obliged.

So anyway im sat there thinking where can i go for a few races,i had a spot in mind but although this was a good little van i did'nt want to tempt fate and i wanted to make sure it was sound and reliable before i ventured to far.So i thought sod it i will go back to the spot where i had trouble two days earlier,only this time i won't go at 7:30 :11: so i set off at 12:00 and made my way to the said land.

Now i was having a great night,had a few in the bag and some cracking races,so all was going well not a scent of bother,so after a couple more runs i decided to quit while i was ahead and make my way back to the van.

Now as i was approaching the van i had to walk past the front of the farm and as you might of guessed i could'nt help myself but to "just have a look" and see what was about in the field directly infront of the farm. :blink: There was a hare slap bang in the middle of the field so i thought to myself "just one more" just one last run.So into the field i went,as i switched the lamp back on the hare was already on the move so i slipped the dogs,but they did'nt get a look in this time as this wise old fella just kicked and straight lined the dogs and made its escape. :bye:

So i ran down the field to get the dogs to put them on the lead and head for the gate situated at the opposite side of the field near to where the van was parked.

As i was about half way over the field i noticed a light on through one of the windows of the farm :icon_eek: ,i thought to myself shit was that light on before :unsure: i could'nt recall either way,so to be sure i upped the pace of my steps and continued for the gate,when just as i was 50 yards or so from the gate, a jeep came flying down from the farm :shok: ,so i quickly had to change direction and head back to the other side of the field as the track joined up to the lane at which the gate was situated.

As i was making my way back up the field heading towards an old tractor dumped in the far corner when the F****R started lamping the field swaying the lamp the whole width of the field in one straight line,i just had to run as fast as i could hoping to get to the tractor before the beam caught up with me for the farmer to pin point his target,i just about made it to the tractor which was not a second to late.

Now i was hid behind this tractor just hoping that the farmer would have a quick scan about then make his way back to the farm allowing me to make my escape.

I could'nt have been more wrong for if you have been in this situation you have to realise that on the land your on the land owners,own and work this land so they know every nuck and cranny. :yes:

Unknown to me the tractor was next to a wall and on the other side of the wall was a lane and it was'nt long before out of nowhere,the jeep was cruisin up it.

So i then had to flee the tractor and dive over a wall and into the next field,i got the dogs down and hid in some cover.

I could'nt see anything now i could just hear the engine of the jeep going up and down the lane until i could hear it faintly going away,so i then stood up and looked over the wall to see where the jeep was going, i could see the jeep was now situated right at the spot where the van was"SHIT i thought im F****D now my van will be smashed up :cry: "When all of a sudden the jeep was on the move and heading back up to the farm,he parked up then i saw the jeeps lights go out.

So i thought nows my chance to make a run for it,i was'nt keen on going back the field way so i decided to make a run for it on the road.

I got about half way up the road to were the van was parked when the B*****D came back out from the farm .The F****R must have thought i'll drive back to the farm,wait ten minutes,he will think i've give up and gone to bed then he will show himself,his trick to flush me out had worked.He's now heading towards the road i was on leaving me no option but to scramble over a wall into a field,just as i got over the wall and into the field his headlights lit up were i was standing just seconds before,i had no time to run but to get down behind the wall hoping he would'nt stop to look over,luckily he drove past but i thought knowing my luck,i won't be so lucky when he turns round,so i decided to stash the lamp as i was finding running with two dogs and a lamp and battery a nightmare.

So i made a run for it to the next field thinking i'l make my way to the van by hopping over the fields as i made it to the wall the jeep had turned round and the sodding lamp was out the window again,so in a panick :shok: i let go of the dogs and made a tired dive over the wall,unknown to me there was a barbed wire fence over the other side :oops: and you guessed it i landed right on top of the F****R. :cray:

I was hanging upside down with a strand of wire through my jeans with the dogs running round as if its all a big game.

Due to me hanging off this F*****G wire i did'nt have a clue where the farmer was so i angrily shouted the dogs to me and then squeezed my fingers into the rip of my jeans and began to try and rip myself free.

So eventually free of the wire i hopped due to the gash on my inside leg to the wall over looking the road,this crazy C**T was still thirsty for blood :realmad:,i waited and waited :search:till he eventually went back up to the farm were i thought to myself its now or never so i jumped over the wall got to the van threw the dogs in and drove a good 100 yards before turning the lights on and heading for home. :victory:

Thank F**K for that i thought until i got home and realised i'd left the lamp,well i was'nt up for leaving it so i went in had a couple of brews :drag: to pass some time to be sure it would be safe to go back,so half an hour after getting home i made my way back.

I parked up in a safe spot and proceeded to look for the lamp with just the aid of my lighter flickering on and off with the wind.

Eventually i located the lamp then quickly and gladly made my way back home.

Well seen as tho i only run rabbits now on full written permition :angel:i dont think
