The world is getting to be much smaller and I run into people here from the UK. Help me do a little scouting so I'll know where people are coming from.

How do people there feel about bow hunting? We've just become acquainted with someone from England and have had her family over. They've noticed some of my archery equipment but have remained nonchalant about it. Just wondering if they have any preconceived notions about the sport.

Did enjoy talking to her about the royal family. She started off the same way about them and then opened right up with her personal opinions. It was an enjoyable conversation.

About 10 years ago i worked with a guy from North USA, he was an x marine. He was over here contracting for 6months helping me assemble some V6 engine testing equipment, he told me quite a few stories about his escapades bow hunting because he was into it in a big way. I must say i found them intreging, think if i ever got over the States i would love to have a go!

IMHO nobody over here has really heard of Bowhunting, mainly for the reason that it is illegal and not performed in our country.

Which country are you in? I need info on France e.g hunting with sight hounds. Is it really illegal. seems impossible to believe that the French don't catch hare with running dogs.
