Steve McHardy 2 Posted September 19, 2009 Report Share Posted September 19, 2009 spot on thats what its about far more fun mouching with a dog that is trained than one that puts its deaf ears on and people are more likely to invite you back if your dog can be trusted keep it up thank you hes a really good dog .i really did think he would run of but he proved me wrong lol .just want to prove to my self that i can do it no matter what cost it is keep up the good work its far easier to live with a dog thats well trained. just keep it all a game that he loves to play and gets rewarded and praise. its better when you take him out hunting in due course remember to stock brake him nice and early if you havnt already its very important there 100% with all stock including chickens as well as sheep, lambs and cattle. lambs are harder and no wee ones at this time of year bein small and they bleat it triggers the prey drive of your dog my terriers took a bit of persuasion to ignore them the big lurcher was easy but my little new bitch got her at 8 mnths was more difficult havin wheaton terrier in her bit more stubborn.
