New free scratch resistant silencer cover

Recommended Posts

Guy,

After reading through my Air Gunner and Airgun World i saw this thread about using a bike inner tube cut down to put over your silencer to stop it getting scratched when out in the field of getting it out of its slip.

Luckily my son had a puncture on his BMX and I tested the thread out as I didn’t like the look of the green tape that I was using to reduce the scratches from my slip zip etc.

As you can see the rubber tube works a treat and looks the dog’s conkers.

Marksman and Festa I was just wandering what time you are coming down tomorrow as Im doing the Great North Run in the morning in aid of Children with Cancer and want be back until later?

Its only 13 miles so shouldnt take that long mate

If 1800 hrs is ok for you i should be able to meet you in the usual place and we can go out and do some lamping. Ive got a new lamp that we can try out and a good 12v battery pack.

Dunno about the dogs conkers, looks like its something a horse would wear to scuttle the dog behind its conkers ;) especially with that vein looking thing running lengthways :clapper:

Couldn't resist. I made a scratch cover out of DPM material also has the effect of hiding it as its shiney aluminium.

PS, careful on that run, some one allways croaks it!!
