Bush Rummager 4,753
This little chappy caught me a bit offguard, such a shy fast flying bird, always chuffed and consider myself lucky just to see kingfishers, never mind get a piccy or two.! Not the best in the world but.. dont want to say too much.. but.. watch this space! Will be going back to this spot minus noisy daughter and dogs constantly crashing about! might even get cammoed up.... tent... ready meals... haa..

Dawn B 212
Great shots! Ive never even seen one, and its not for not looking either! The closest I got was a flicker of blue on the other side of the local canal, I snapped it quick, but when I zoomed in, I realised it was a cheese and onion walkers crisp packet!!!!

J Darcy 5,871
I find it amazing how so few people have seena KIngfisher...they are quite common birds. But perhaps i have been spoilt as i do a little fishing and those birds are always whizzing past, peiping at each other... You wouldn't believe how disgusting there nest site is and how the birds can look so good even during feeding their young.
