dog started to whine during the day

Recommended Posts

evening,

my beddy grey is kenneled outside he;s about 18months old, he has been kenelled outside since i have had him. he has been fine but from saturday just gone if he knows we have gone out to work or even just to the shop(he knows the sound of mine and the wife's car!) he wines constantly, the neighbours have started to comment on it. so its got me puzzled as to why he's only just started to do it now? he is still as quiet as a mouse at night. any ideas as to why and how i can stop it?

cheers tony

A radio is a good thing when a dog wont settle,

But i think yours is just matureing as you've had him in there with no problem until now,

I would try a good walk in the morning to burn loads of energy of him, And then a few meat bone's in with him/Or what cold ethyl said about the Kong,

i have a similar problem with my wheaton/whippet x ? she is only 8 mnths and she cries as soon as i come home until i let the little bugger out shes fine when i leave its just when im in and she not with me. ive not had too long got her off a mate who hadnt the time for her. have tried a sprat coller but its too high a pitched whine to set it off once she thinks im gone all is quiet. do you think she is still settleing in or just wanting attention.

Same with my Saluki/wheaten, as soon as I get home he starts whining and making a noise until he is with me.

Doesn't do it to anyone else, once I am gone he is quiet again.

Probably disappear with age...hopefully.
