Sorry Shaggy :icon_redface: I was initially concentrating on the photographic issues in the thread!! copyright of photo's commercial and personal (and got waylaid :icon_redface: I'd be the first one in your corner if a body or organisation used the text or photo's from any of your books without the relevant permission? just some issues of this competition dont add up an eg: being told by the organisers that "its publicised in schools everywhere"? There is no evidence that any educational authority is backing this, so far? and if there are which ones? I'm only asking the starter of the thread to confirm what he's already posted in relation to the competition? You've never had the need to tell porkie's to sell a damn good read  is it the same for this competiton?? are the points its being sold on factually correct??

Guys.......I'm a tad Bored at reading tit for tat argueing. Lets grow up and just let sleeping dogs lie. If you have anything to say to each other then get it sorted, otherwise, can we return back to topic. This section is not the place to be washing your dirty laundry in public.....Many Thanks,..,.,..JD

My point was that instead of answering the questions posed SACS seem to ignore them and elaborate other factors, which may themselves be of concern, and everything goes round in circles all the time and no one gets what they wanted.

Perhaps if all pics entered are watermarked with a copyright logo then the problem will be solved.

In my long experience of dealing with people when anybody resorts to abuse then it achieves the opposite action to that which they desire.

An example:

Grow a pair of balls you ugly ginger gimp and delete the shite now instead of dithering like an old dried up fanny!!!

I left the organisation last year, Ian Clark was given photographs by me which included images of a lad who was a kid at the time along with my friend who is a falconer!!! These photographs were not intended for pubication anywhere or to be used without my express permission, they were also used out of context?!! and neither Ian Clark or SACs had permission to use them in the promotion of SACs or its magazine, A terse one line statement saying I had left the organisation and that!! I was no longer associated with SACs appeared appeared in an earlier edition of the magazine.

and then Ian Clark and SACS In a subsequent issue of the magazine had the audacity to, reproduce the photo I had taken of a friends young son and it appeared without my permission or any acknowledgement to its scource or to the owner of the image??, Ian Clark was contacted and a message left on his answer machine in relation to the issue of copyright? his response was not to reply or even acknowledge my concerns?? The crux of the matter is SACS is already lifting images they have no right to? and publishing them without giving a sh!t!!

Imagine?? anyone stealing photo's, using them!! and then asking people to join a photography competition? or letting people know some-one is no longer associated with the organisation but then procceeds exploit an image taken from the same individual for gain in promoting an article the image had nothing to do with :censored::censored:

Tom

You said that you gave the photographs to Ian Clark before you left the organisation, why?

Quoting myself from an earlier post in the thread!!

"I did however give you a CD not a DVD of photographs for personal viewing and you took advantage of that by using them to promote SACs??"

Tom

Ps:

I've given many friends photographs of events and show's especially if they've been attending themselves? As J Darcy say's lets get back on topic ;)
