KDR 14
I aint had a running dog for years now ( apart from the old whippet in the house) so im selling my porta-mag...its been in the cupboard for years now...i have only used it on my son when he has had a football injury....so i might as well have the cash for it instead.... I new the guy who made them so i asked him to do one for me with a coil that could be put directly on to the site of the injury for a more intense direct treatment....its in perfect working order cant remember exactly when i got it but it says 2003 0n the operating manual...to be honest i thought i had it before then...my memories going anyway it aint had a lot of use...£250 if you want it I live in Barnsley but work Alfreton so there's a bit of flexibility where i could meet... KDR 14
did you get the box with it what the dog goes in while treatment is being done no i didnt want a box...i wanted a ring..the taped ring you can see is what goes under the floor of the boxes you are on about....i wanted to be able to put this ring straight onto the injury or under the dogs blanket or something..this is how it works..hope Ive explained it well enough. skycat 6,173
I paid "20 for a second hand one (barely used) a few years ago: you need the box part of it to keep the dog in the right place: and in them there are 2 coils as opposed to one. I should know as we've just taken ours apart and fitted the coils etc into a permanent dog bed place under some shelves in the sitting room: the Porta Mag box takes up so much room otherwise. Brilliant things though.
KDR 14
Nice one.... you can have numerous coils fitted within your the box, boards can be fitted half way up the sides and coils positioned in these...but i wanted just the one coil to put directly on to the injury site...as i have mentioned. This way the dog can be laid next to you on the settee if you like with the coil on the injury...if you have a box this ain't so easy to do...depending on how big your settee is...but i suspect your settee is also much bigger than mine...and i bet your black cat is also blacker... Cupid Stunt 18
I prefer the panel type one rather than the box. Easy enough to put under a dogs bed with the benefit of being able to use it on yourself if the need be.

Im going back a good few years now, but some of the very first one's out the coils were in leather pads that were draped over the dog like saddle bags...these are very rare now...but still much sought after. They are the first ones i remember were called Magnetopulse & were held on by lengths of velcro strapping. Many a time as a kid in early 's i was lumbered with the job of sitting with Whisper Wishes amongst others having their injury treatment or pre race prep. Half an hour on on the medium settings was meant to equate to eight hours hand massage according to the manufacturers.
