Does anyone know of or can recommend any decent springers standing at stud in scotland? either FTW OR FTCH.

there is drummuir stud who is a ftw of irish lines, nice stamp of a dog you can see him hunting on another thread on here, then there is Ftch in St andrews give the fella a call his name is spence 01334 850817.

It takes 5-6 hours to get to edinburgh from where i live, so yes i would but north england is a long way away id prefer scotland

That might not be the worst way to go mate, it's not that close.

thats not bad mate, i'm with mackay, go for that mate, people knock line-breeding but thats the only way you can breed and the probable outcomes are much higher.

 

look into line-breeding mate, make up your own mind.

Apart from my own dog (naturally) being in scotland, I would also recommend Spence's dog or the only other stud dogs I would use on my own bitches are down in England, and this is becuase they match my bitches pedigree's and I know the dogs .

 

Either denford danny of mark cliffords (nottingham) , or Helmsway hawk at witchwillows gundogs in Durham area.

Hi i know spence & his FTCH dog & it was a very good dog & size. I also seemed to produce good pups i cant beleave he isnt studding it no more it was a cracker of a dog iv seen it work & some of its protogee.
