David 9
Took a friend out for a couple hours last night to shoot a few rabbits for the pot, took the 410 so he could have a go at some roosting pigeons aswell he really enjoyed it,he shot really well he shot 11 rabbits and that was all we wanted so we set off for some pigeons he shot about 7 pigeons then it was of home not a bad trip out only 9 rabbits in the pic we had another 2 when looking for some pigeons Edited September 16, 2009 by David Quote Link to post
masmiffy 82
Well done mate but 'lamping' roosting birds is against the law Edited September 16, 2009 by masmiffy Quote Link to post
Lost Generation 93
Well done mate but 'lamping' roosting birds is against the law He didn't mention using the lamp to shoot the pigeons, only the rabbits. Its perfectly legal to shoot roosting pigeons as long as you don't use an artificial light Quote Link to post
SportingShooter 0
Nice one David & Co, the .410 and Rabbits seem to go together very well Roosting Pigeons is something I was only introduced to in any number earlier this year, great fun Quote Link to post

David 9
Well done mate but 'lamping' roosting birds is against the law My friend shot these rabbits in the first field mate only took about half hour to get them,it was actually just coming in dark but i used the lamp anyway just for him to see the rabbits better and once we got what we needed we walked about 100 yards to the wood which is absulutly busting with pigeons and shot a few late ones which where coming in and trying to get comfortable to roost THEN used the light to pick them up when we finished i dont think im breaking the law in anyway in doing that Edited September 16, 2009 by David Quote Link to post
