chartpolski 25,840
bla bla bla carry with you yappers like i said not for me. theres alot worse people out there than me if anything if you met me im one of the good one i just wont waste kennel space on shite, so carry on bitching about what i said and theres alot worse things said on here than what i've said. I don't think anyone has ever said, in front of almost 20,000 members, that they stopped the van, "in the middle of nowhere", and threw a dog out and left it to fend for itself !! I fully understand some one not wanting to keep a dog they are not happy with, but either give it to a pet home or have it put down, treat it with some respect. Quote Link to post
mally 832
IMO yappers arn't born there created by taking imature dogs our and working them far too early. I once had a bitch that i first took out on the lamp at 9 months old the first rabbit she ran she sang like the grove and feckin rufford. I went home and gave her a couple of months road work and tried her again at 11 months. She never once yapped again all through her working career. I wouldn't mind if a dog gave the odd yip but a constant yapper i wouldn't want in my kennel at all. Quote Link to post

Got to dissagree their as the only yapper i have ever had unbeknown to me at the time was bred out of a yipper and so was 4 of his litter mates.atb dell Quote Link to post

mally 832
Everyones entitled to there opinion and i gave mine, i respect other peoples opinions on here. I'm not one to call anyone else's methods if it works for them then thats fine . I never take a dog out before it's mature i certainly don't take them out to see another dog catch a couple as in my experience it just gets them wound up. You'll never ruin a dog thats started later, hundreds are ruined when there started far too early IMO Everyone to there own. I've always took my time with pups and young dogs since and this approach has not failed me. Quote Link to post

cocker 2,655
the other thing is if like me you hunt where there are sheep, and you have a dog what yaps or barks, and it spooks the sheep, well thats just no good at all. its gonna cause problems. Dont most sheep get spooked as soon as you get into a field with a dog ????? they do mate yes but like i said a yapping dog is only gonna make them worse, isnt it Quote Link to post

Got to be honest i havn't had hundreds of dogs though as those i've had from a pup have died here. I believe you only get out of a dog what you put into it. I havent had hundreds of dogs as well. But have seen well enterd pups turn out yappers were the dam was a yapper thats why i would never advocate breeding off one.atb Quote Link to post
