fur balls ??

so what is the story with furballs ??

 

i read somewhere that 1ce a week i am supposed to give my ferrets some sort of laxitive to help them pass swallowed fur thus reducing the chances of a furball build up.

 

could someone please clarify this or correct me on this.

Dont give anything unless they need it , its from these american sites all this furball stuff , never had a ferret with a build up of coat in its guts in 16 yrs

 

If you feed whole carcass you shouldnt have any issues with fur buildup in the gut

too true Kay these American sites really do talk some crap, you wont go far wrong listening to advice from here mate dont trust those Yanks

Ear cleanings only done here when its needed , if there mankey then give them a quick wipe with a medicated ear wipe , dont use cotton buds just a quick wipe when they need it

Same here never cleaned a ferrets ears but i dont show them .If there dirty there must be a reason why there dirty and mine are out 3/4 times a week just now
