You can get a bit by knocking on doors, but the better stuff comes when you get to know people, through local shows, or beating for your local estates, or by doing a bit of ferreting, and gaining their trust.

stick at it mate,its torturous sometimes and youl be thinking all farmers are :wankerzo4: but theyre not,youl come across a gem sooner or later and itl all be worthwhile,just be polite courteous,and offer to help out at busy times,or you could offer your trade,i used to be a drainage consultant and as you can imagine farms aint got the best of drains,but after offering to look at and get there drains flowing again,thats how i got most of my permission

you will find that farmers work on word of mouth, so if you get in with one farmer an he is happy youl find it easyr to find other permission, let other ppl you ask know where you have been once you do find somewhere an that will help.
