if you dont separate them mate like already said your going to end up with dead terrier. its only so much there lurcher will take

i kenneled a lurcher and terriers together once!! the lurcher bitch wouldnt look at owt bigger than a rat if it had teeth but 2 mnths down the line i buried my terrier no previous, no warning just one scuffle an it was all over for the terrier not a mark on the lurcher bloody good terrier, RIP Lexy. get them seperated an they will be ok outside hunting, terriers are little shits when it comes to their beds, bowls, the kennel space they are standing on, single spilt dog buscuits etc etc.

I've heard a few horror stories about kenneling terriers and lurchers together, a few mates have lost both lurchers and terriers in kennel fights. I kennel my labrador bitch and whippet bitch together without so much of a grumble (touch wood) but tbh the whippet rules the roost.

Splitting your dogs up and kenneling them seperately is the only option, exercise them together as normal and things should work out fine. I must say though 4 months old that pat is going to be a right nightmare if you don't socialise it with other dogs soon.

ive got two pat bitches, they get on great, but there is no way i would let them kennel together, they sleep in same shed, sectioned off, each with their own outdoor run, youve got to crack on and sort it out its not worth the risk

e Socializing will be good for the bitch but a rat or two would be good also keeping her busy

The problem is terrier's don't know how to quit once they are wound up, we had an incident out on a walk on the local beach with my Saluki bitch and the Bedlington bitch.

The Salukis were playing hard like salukis do when the bedlington bitch decided she was to join in she nip the Salukis bitch who responded by nailing the terrier to put her back in her place (as the Saluki is top bitch in my pack) and left it at that. The problem was the Terrier wound up by this point kept going back at the Saluki, each time the terrier launched at her she caught the terrier by the neck or chest I roared at the Saluki to leave her and she did only for the crazy terrier to go in again! :wallbash: Eventually I managed to grab hold of the terrier and finally put an end to matteres not before the terrier was in a real mess, the Saluki never had a mark on her.

Had this happen out of sight of me I've no doubt she would have killed or seriously damage the terrier she would of had no choice to put an end to the attacks from the terrier.

I've had the same problem with a patt dog and my old lurcher dog,had the patt from a pup and he was fine at first, but seems as soon as his balls dropped he was mental for it,it got so bad in the end i keep the lurcher at the mrs house, the patt was making a mess of the lurchers front legs to often and i had a couple of vet bills totaling £400,keep them seperate or get rid of 1.
