niall_b73 41
this is news i was not wanting to hear. so because the burrows are well established would they not be safe enough ?? is it really that dangerous? Quote Link to post

ferret1 6
Nice bit of permission mate but go careful they can collapse when you walk over the tunnels and if you have to dig to ferret you might get problems but take it steady and you should be ok. Quote Link to post
MR TEA POT 1,287
this is news i was not wanting to hear.so because the burrows are well established would they not be safe enough ?? is it really that dangerous? If the burrows are in sand they tend to go deep,so when you come to dig your ferret out there is a big risk of the sand caving in while you are down the hole.MAKE sure you take somebody with you. If you can't/or don't feel comfortable ferreting them you could all ways use fenn traps or snares. Or you could look round to see if there is any smaller burrows THAT you can ferret. Then just stink the big burrows out and the rabbits will move to the smaller burrows. Well done on your first permission. Quote Link to post

stealthy1 3,964
Nice bit of land, we do sand dunes all the time here, not had any problems, only do the ones with the grass and scrub around them and you should be sound, the open ones just cave in Quote Link to post
