Fishslayer 10
I've been lurking on the unprotected forums for quite a while. I accidentially acquired a lurcher a couple years back and joined Lurcherlink. I've been reading about your game and techniques so thought it was about time I registered. Fishslayer 10
Welcome to the site, what cross is your lurcher and what do you hunt with it? Thank you. I have no idea of his cross (see my post in the lurcher topic). He is a pet (accidental lurcher), not a worker but thats my fault. The terrain and game here in N. TX are not really suited for running dogs. I would not know how to train him and I've not seen anyone on any of the TX hunting forums that uses lurchers except for one person in E. TX that has one in their hog-hunting pack. I need to get his dumbass snake trained before he gets himself killed. I've heard rumors of guys in W. TX with saluki x's that run jackrabbits. Fabapocalypse 35
Hi Mark.. I wondered if it was you when I saw the TX bit! Good to see you. Sykes sends his best to you and Grendel and the Fishfamily. I still say you should all come on a UK tour... Jules
Fishslayer 10
Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Tyla: Thanks for the pointer. I've seen Dirtwingers post on various forums and his website. He's in New Mexico, a very long haul for me. I'm reading and learning from this and similar forums. Jules: How ya and Sykes doing girl? Haven't seen you much on SLR recently. I finally got around to joing here on account those folks don't cotton too much to hunting. Cheers, Mark
Fabapocalypse 35
Know what you mean ! We've been around; I've had a few health issues and we went away to Suffolk for a much needed break, where even the beer is lurcher friendly! Going again this weekend. I will PM you a link for the holiday photos...

It's such a great story - and you know how I love to look at that dog! Edited September 27, 2009 by lurchergrrl
