Trev 4
There like all dogs, some are good some are useless. Im lucky to have run a few, train greyhounds and always seem to have a bitch not good enough for the track that ye can mess about with workin, to be honest if they were as good as what people make out what would be the need to cross them?? However if more people tried them properly there would be alot more decent lurchers out there, just because its a greyhound dosent mean its worthy of breeding a lurcher imo. Quote Link to post

Daveo 61
Iv got a brindle bitch, She did well on daytime rabbits but gets knocked up really easily. Little knocks that my lurcher would'nt notice will lay her up. And she is shocking with ferrets. I have to admit i have had to look away sometimes when she runs a rabbit full speed towards a wall/fence. I get the feeling its stupidity not bravery. Nice bitch though Quote Link to post
doga 50
to high maintenance for me to so wouldnt keep one, seen lots worked and some very handy but to much to go wrong they arnt strong enough to do a regular lurchers work.how to find the right one for lurcher production is another matter a big can of worms.
