There like all dogs, some are good some are useless.

Im lucky to have run a few, train greyhounds and always seem to have a bitch not good enough for the track that ye can mess about with workin, to be honest if they were as good as what people make out what would be the need to cross them??

However if more people tried them properly there would be alot more decent lurchers out there, just because its a greyhound dosent mean its worthy of breeding a lurcher imo.

i know what you mean when you say just because its a greyhound doesnt make it worthy to be a lurcher, the same as any dog in a lurcher, BUT.. '' if theyre good at working why do people cross them'' thats because people want different things from their dog from size and stamina to strongly built.. not because greyhounds arnt as good workers, and before lurchers were made greyhounds was for coursing, it was pikeys that made lurchers because they couldn't use greyhounds. i dont meen to cause any debates or arguments but you cant knock a greyhound (the overall breed)
