retrieving the dummie

Recommended Posts

I have recently been with a gun dog trainer and he tells me to sit the dog down in front of you and then throw the dummie over your shoulder and then you go and pick it up.

Do this to the right of him and the left of him and then send him for it after throwing it five times or more.Dont send him to often tho. try it and see if it works.

yep, it is done so that the dog doesn't think that every retrieve is his. helps to stop the dog running in as it doesn't second get you and try farward reading you. also helps to keep him/her keen for the retrieve

so i'm told.hehe
