Been to vets with ferret to day, he has a lump on the side of his face that turned out to be an absys, it was seeping puss this morning so we got him to vets. She started to clean him up and she bit him

Then she quoted me £150 to put him under and lance it and what not, said i couldnt pay that so she put him on antibiotics for 10 days and gave him an injection, Still came home with a £50 bill.

Does anyone know the criteria for PDSA?

Cheers Paddy

sorry to hear about ya ferret, a dont use the pdsa but this is what it says on their website:

What are the eligibility criteria?

To be eligible, pet owners need to live within the defined catchment area of a PDSA PetAid hospital or PetAid practice and must be receiving financial help with their housing costs through either Housing Benefit or Council Tax Benefit. This means that one in five UK households is eligible for help by PDSA.

where is it and can he lick it? if not put it in with another ferret if you can had a hob given me that had one that kept reappearing he told me to squeeze it out if it flared! up put him in with my 2 jills over winter it came up a bit then went and never reappeared it was on the top of his head so the only thing i can think is that he could not lick it but one or both jills did!
