Guest Ditch_Shitter
Just so happens I was examining some home made Earth Anchors, on line, just the other day, mate. As I'm sure Woodga would say: It's not exactly rocket science, is it? But, it looked to me like, you'd need basic materials and some ability with tools and techniques. If you don't want to shell out sh*t for them, I wonder if you might not equelly baulk at putting in that effort? Personally, when I'm too pushed, or just incapable of doing a job myself, I shell out. I'm honestly yet to find a third, workable route to attainment Quote Link to post
witton 6
Hi, i would be able to make some from looking at pics, but i wanted to see if anyone else had done it before and if they had had any tips Quote Link to post
Guest Ditch_Shitter
Wish I could help you further then, Witts. Only I just had a good, hard think there and I'm blowed if I can come up with where I saw them - and there were illustrative pictures. It might have been a sales page. Or it might have been a How To. You might try The Snare Shop? I've been there latley. Anyway, from what I remember and could deduce: It's basicly a bit of pipe. Maybe sharpened at both ends? You pop a 'bolt' through the middle and attatch a wire to that. Stck your pipe on the end of a T Bar of rebar and push it into the ground, 'point downwards', obviously. Then, give it a tug. Being central to the pipe, the wire tries to pull the pipe up by its middle and so causes the whole thing to lodge, horizontally, in the earth. Boosh! 'Anchored' Any good to ye, mate? Guest Bigbob
These are 99p for 3 and if you weld a bolt on the bottom you can wire your traps on to these and at that price doesn't matter if they brake or you loose a few. Quote Link to post
