Even just today got another new Dog.(I'll be sleeping with them soon if i keep it up). But every dog i have bought they always took the collar back. Are collars that valuable to people??? badger 91
you bought the dog, not the collar. good manners says you should bring your own collar and lead to take him home, show the man you are prepared to take care of your new dog.

I don't agree there mate, when you buy a horse it's an obligation that the previous owner supplies a good headcollar and rope.

Yes but we are not talking about horses we are talking about dogs, I agree that a lead and coller should be taken

Catcher 1 i totally agree collars should never be worn whilst workin unless its a locator. i used either rope chokers for my gundogs and leather slip leads for the runners never bought a grown dog just pups but i would take my own lead if i did the previous owner may want it for the next dog they get. plenty guys train dogs for sale especially in the shooting field these guys arnt dealers they are dog trainers. You mean you're not sleeping with them already????? My dogs only have slip collars, but nice leather collars are expensive, so if I was buying a dog I would expect to provide my own collar. Thinking about it, I've never bought a horse that came with a headcollar either.
