rickyspringer 15
Well all, a new springer pup has found me, wasn't intended what so ever but he has settled in really well with my ESS bitch and my brothers Border Terrier which ive got for the week. He is at the vets in the morning for his 1st jab and a lil' once over, the problem is as stated above he is struggling to pass, and when he does his poop has alot of hair init. he has lived on a sheep's holding aswell as a run with his mother for the past week. I just want to clear him out, will be having a wormer in the moring and I'm just after some tips, what foods are good and anything else. He has had some good green tripe today. Thanks all,

sh 08 17
A mate of mine who owns racing whippets gives his a slice of brown bread twice a week
waidmann 105
mine loves feathers and they clear him quite well( flight feathers from geese, ducks, pigeon) he loves em,picks them up everywhere now.when he brings them to me i spit on them and he scoffs them. feet from duck and geese do the same job and keep him busy for a while.tripe should do the job though. good luck, hope the dogs turns out well for you. rickyspringer 15
thanks for the advice, he is going to the toilet now with ease, still not happy with the whole situation though, he is hard work to feed. Won't eat out of his bowl, tried to give him some complete food-not going down well, had some raw food out of my hand to make sure he's eating. heart, and bits of beef. We wil get there, forgot how hard it is having a puppy again, everything is so easy with a well trained dog haha. Hopefully he will turn out better than my bitch, he's got the makings BOLD, picks anything up, in and out of bushes in the garden. So fingers crossed, just have to take my time with breaking the news to the landlord, they think were looking after him at present!!
Cold Ethyl 63
Start giving complex b vitamins this increases a sick or picky eaters appetite might help get him to eat properly and out of a bowl
skycat 6,173
If he's been eating a lot of sheep's wool that will bind him: he should have got rid of it by now though.: few bits of raw liver usually go straight through a dog: try that.
rickyspringer 15
thought i'd give abit of a feed back lads and lasses, dog has settled really well, got a great appetite on him, no longer struggling with the constipation, everything is running fine now, the occasional squits but will slow down when he gets used to the barf. made up with the little fella, hopefully he is going to turn into a good one for me, thanks for all the comments.
