i went to look at a strimming job earlier and took my old bitch along for the ride. when i got there it was a farmer who wanted an orchard strimming and the few trees left logged for his fire. walking round the yard i could see it was covered in rat runs and around the orchard was covered in rabbit shit so i mentioned it to him and he said they are a pest but he was to busy to clear them up and he dont like poison around cause his two collies are loose in the day and dont want them picking anything bad up. well you can proberly guess where im going here!!!!!! i said id do the orchard and trees for free (only take a day) as long as i could have permisson to have a go at the rats and rabbits and he said yes straight away!!!!!!! then he said i could stand in the field they where combining with my bitch if i had time which i didnt really but i went anyway as you can never look a gift horse in the mouth!!!!!! she had 5 rabbits which the farmer let me keep and said im welcome whenever i want after ive done the orchard!! cant wait 900 acres of permission and he rang me!!!!!!!! heres a few pics of my bitch saluki/grey x bedo/grey she is nearly 7 now but still very active!!!!! ps my battery died on my camera before i could get pics of rabbits so i took 1 in my garden when i got home!!!!!! cheers 4 reading atb!!

to right mate!!!!!!!! ive got to get out there 1st tho to see if there is much to run in the fields but defo gonna be good around the orchard, pig pens and small milking parlour!! i was stood in the field for 5 hours earlier and only seen 8 rabbits but ill have some fun finding out!!!!!!! atb

going for a wander round tomorrow over 300 acres are cut now so should be good!!!!!!!! the farmer puts some pheasants down aswell for a little bit of rough shooting in the main wood and the few spinnys dotting about and says im welcome to check the earths round there but my terriers arent the best earth dogs to be honest i use them for rabbits more than anything else but they bolt a few foxes each year so worth a try!!!!! i think its to good to be true though i bet the land is wank knowing my luck!!!!!! he said he never gets poached which is usually a bad sign but you dont know till you try it so ill hope for the best!!!!!!!!!!!

I have got without asking too. 2 different farmers stopped me when out walking the pup and asked when I could sort a few rabbits for them (heres to hoping I'll be fit to!)
