what you putting on the roof for covering ? how are you getting access to the hutches ?? does the lid lift off ?

once you got them outside show us some pics with the ferrets in good job well done ,

not being funny or owt but how big are theese hutch's, are the 3 ferrets gonna be let out to exercise individually everyday?

You dont mess about do you mate, looks like a nice job you've made of them, what are you using to weather proof them? and what colour

 

i have just purchase a big tin of cuprynol rich oak wood stain. gonna give them a coat now while the weather is good

thanks, yeah should be fun potty training them so to speak.

as for the roof, i have made it out of stainless steel with a long overhang on the front and the access is threw the roof. the roof/lifts up

no worries mate. my ferrets have the run of most my house for at least 2 hours a day. the kids love them

Look very nice mate well made but i would have made them bigger at least 6x2x2 for a couple of ferrets

also you might have to cover the steel lid with something when its hot, hutch's & sheds get very hot in the summer and

ferrets cant handle the heat.

sorry the lid is not stainless steel it is aliuminum (excuse spelling)

 

ok so i now have the hutches placed behind my house in an area of constant shade.

now that the days are getting shorter and not much heat would it be bad of me to move the hutches to an area of my garden where they can get direct sunlite.

not that we have had much sunlite here in ireland.
