stealthy1 3,964
You cant beat rabbit for ferrets, to get her to put weight on, make sure she has food all the time, it does take a lot out of a jill feeding kits, just keep an eye on her once she starts to put weight on, or she may grow into Kerry Katona Quote Link to post

Haystack 11
I had a ferret that went mega skinny after trying to keep all 12 kits. I ended up feeding her normal soft food, but with chunk of butter included, I also added any trimmings from meat (like the fat from pork, etc) into her food, which quickly added weight. I wouldn't recommend the butter inless it was an emerancy, as it became with that jill. Quote Link to post

Coneytrappr 30
If things are really dire, make a paste from meat, dry food, egg yolk and heavy cream, it puts the weight back on very fast and is good for jills which are in kit or have had them. Quote Link to post
