ssssh1forthepot 0
I hope some of the people who rattle on about putting bull blood in working terriers will have a good look at the video of that dog working badger. That is the way a good badger dog works in and out does not let the badger pass him or break him up.But he wont let the badger dig on either. That is what old time dogs done and they worked day in day out. Spot on Liam, you dont want a dog too hard as it will end up injured and recovering for weeks, you want a dog like Marts you can dig to week in week out. Clever over hard everytime for me Quote Link to post

Russellyard 0
Mart told me about this forum, and that you guys like our dog Loke. He is a great worker and we are very proud of him. As his breeder I can give you more info about his pedigree. Loke is a mix of english and american bloodlines. His dam is a bitch bred by me. His grandmother on his dams side is from Ratpack Megan (english import) and by Revefotens Whopper Out O'The Blue (Howlbeck Blue Prince and a Revefoten bitch). Lokes grandfather on his dams side is Eastlake Beacon of Fox Valley a son of Pengelli Bullet, who is also an english import. Lokes father is also from Ratpack/Howlbeck lines. Eastlake Beacon Pengelli Bullet Ratpack Megan Howlbeck Blue Prince Revefoten's Whopper Out O'The Blue Loke is a nice terrier both in size and as a hunting dog, so we really got what we wanted from this cross. When I used Lokes sire on my bitch I got Howlbeck on both side of his pedigree, so I did exactly that. Lokes sire is tested on fox in go-to-ground trials, and he is getting better every time. But his owners have not used him on real hunt. Lokes dam had some nice runs on fox and badger. Howlbeck Blue Prince is sired by Howlbeck Percy Special and after Ground Hill Midge. Quote Link to post
Cleanspade 3,323
the dog in the pic also goes back to groundhill midge. i also owned a bitch that was a grandaughter of midge. a good little fo little fox dog hope you keep updateing us on your season Quote Link to post

mart 131
thought id try and keep this thread alive during the season. been quiet for a while around here, but we managed to get a dig last week. earth was dug out under a pile of asbestosplates(spelling?) which in turn was covered in a couple of feet of dirt and it was located in a very steep bank, which made it cave in a couple of times. loke still is´nt the most spectaculare terrier around, but he is getting better and we are getting the results that we want. our last dig Quote Link to post
