ChrisJones 7,975
Use a good quality round head pellet. Accupells. Field and Target Trophies. Air Arms Fields... etc. If you're Bisley pellets are working okay through the R7 then stick with them. Quote Link to post
Guest diesel
for ll rounding i use superdomes... round headed ones... i fin them a decent pellets. Quote Link to post
Guest rothbury ratter
I found that air arm field are a soft pellet. The top of the tin are good but the last 200 0r so are distorted, resulting in misses. Ihave started using crossman accupells i find they are more accurate. RR Quote Link to post
Guest baldie
acccupells in a 12 ft/lbs gun, or premiers, bisley magnums in an fac weapon. Quote Link to post
Guest rothbury ratter
headshot with me crosman verminpells at 25yards. Right on the swede. Mushed rattys brains about, RR. Quote Link to post
Guest whippet
Accupels or Premiers are a good place to start, but the best pellet for hunting is the one that is most accurate one in your gun, even the same make and model of gun can like different pellets. You've just gotta try them until you find 'the one' lol. Quote Link to post
lucky 578
target trophy are my favourites Quote Link to post
rob reynolds uk 3
pest control pellets are ok for short ranges {18yrds} try powerpell pellets made by crossman for your rapid in none fac but bisleys are the only one to have if you have a fac rifle.. iv had over seven rapids in my day and have tride all the pellets trying to find tha right one and the powerpell pellets give the most power and are spot on ,they really suit the rapid give them a try Quote Link to post
SINDASOX 255
Been using Air Arms field up to now, but after so many recommendation's for the Accupell's i bought 500 today at the Welsh Game Fair, not feckin cheap though, £7.00 bucks. SINDASOX Quote Link to post
Snelly 0
I prefer Logun Penetrators and use them with a Theoben Evolution. Snelly. Quote Link to post
J Darcy 5,871
I find that superdomes, FTtrophy, acupells, penetrators and long range golds are the biz.....the long range golds are very good indeed and i have shot an amount of quarry with it....IMHO you should avoid all flat headed types...forget all that "impact" bollocks and go for a proven accurate pellet that fires good in your gun...the key, as always,is accuracy......you can shoot a pigeon up the arse with a .25 cal doing 50 ft/lb and it wil fly away, you hit that same critter dead on in the brain with your little .177 and its gonna be dead as a dodo...just MHO.....but hey, buy the book and read more on the subject!!!!! lolol :11: Quote Link to post
J Darcy 5,871
he he he...its 19.95 + £2 p+p Quote Link to post
