MORE BAD LUCK

Recommended Posts

well cara's limp was getting no better after 6 weeks of rest so i rung the vet and arranged an x ray ... i had a sneaky feeling she had chipped a bone in the knee but the x ray proved it was worse than that with a piece of bone seperated from the knee itself .... if this isnt healed completely she will never run so the pup has to be confined to the run for the next 4 months for the bone to calcifey itself back to the knee ... once this happens she will be 100% again BUT that means 7 months of doing absolutely nothing with the bitch at such a crucial time ... i dont keep slip and kill dogs and i demand a high level of obedience and control from my dogs ... will i be able to get this after 7 months of nothing ??? time will tell i suppose ...... a pissed off puppy owner ...............

If it was my dog I would carry on with the training as near as normal in the back yard, not having her chasing around, just basic the basic training that you would do out in the field with out pushing her at all, that way when she gets back out in the fields she wont be as far back think, whats the cost of having Cara's bone wired up?

Shit that is bad luck , is it guarenteed that she will be 100% after 7 months or will there be a weakness there .

if it calcifies properly it will be the strongest bone in the body ...... IF it calcifies .........

just concentrate on her obedience training and as said as much rest as poss you may touch lucky and get the back end of the season with her but after putting in so much with her a few months will be nothing if she heals well and goes on to prove herself in the field also think how many years service she may give to you, all the very best of luck mate.

Shouldnt see why not socks. It all depends on how well trained she is already. She should retain the majority of her train but of course she will need sharpening up on her obedience after 7mths rest.

bad luck is that socks but i will repeat what i said on moochers to you the other month, :D

the pup was to young to be runing on rabbits at 4 months and its bones where to heavy,

hope it fixes for you ;);)

the pup was NOT run on rabbits at 4 months of age ... she found chased and caught a rabbit not alot i could do to stop it .... and the bones were not to heavy quite the opposite ..................
