Guest oldskool Posted September 6, 2009 Report Share Posted September 6, 2009 i usually look for lorry driving jobs when i'm in a bad mood and feelin a change of scenery comin on... the job centre only had about 15 job ads at one stage but now they are usually at an average of 50-55... they are a long way from 180 like it used to top out at... wages are still shit in most positions as well so i'll have to stay where i'm at for the time being Quote Link to post Share on other sites
kristian 9 Posted September 6, 2009 Report Share Posted September 6, 2009 (edited) just managing to ride the storm so far and was made redundant about a week ago but at the moment am working my notice but fingers crossed things are going to pick up soon and i'll be back in a job (fingers crossed). poacher3161 1,766 Posted September 6, 2009 Report Share Posted September 6, 2009 Still very bad around here [s.york] all unskilled jobs are through agencys with only gaurentees of 3 weeks work.My old place has just set 17 back on only 4 of them English.The interveiw i had at the job centre last week she told me their were plenty of voluntrey jobs going [not paid] and if i was prepaired to take one i could start streight away.This i would do like a flash if i recieved any benefit but i dont due to a small pension so declined the offer.
