What lines?

Recommended Posts

When ever anyone shows a photo of thier new pup or dog that they have it's always the same question. What lines is it.

Well all im asking s does it matter, i used to have a nuttal patterdale and a chihuahua jack russell (boys pet) the jack x was a better worker by far above and below. no lines in it just a working jack. ive seen alot of worker to worker matings, they turn out cracking much the same as lurchers

Any thought

yes I think it does matter because if you breed the the best to the best 9 times out of ten your going to get the best. however I still believe worker to worker matings can produce just as good results but not as often. I'm only speaking about running dogs because I know nothing about terriers...

people pay silly money because the dog comes with a name but because of that it don't mean your guaranteed at all. in fact a lot of the big names you see in terriers these days are shite but people still buy them for the name. if it comes off good working parents and you put the time and effort in your not going to go far wrong. one more thing iv noticed is people by the dogs with the names these days for there looks, shows and to say they got a ******

just my opinion

I agree with you Sh 08... :clapper: and i`ve thought about starting a thread on this subject myself..

And i`me certain a lot of people say that their dogs are from certain lines just to gain some kind of ego boost for them selves, and of course to earn "more dollar" should they breed from their dogs.

I used to think that to buy a dog from certain lines would help in the chances of getting a decent worker, and i think if your lucky enough to be around at the start of a particular line, when the priority is to breed worker to worker then Yes it works...

But it doesn't take long before "Cash Is King" syndrome to take over.

One of my best terriers years ago was what looked like a Russell/chihuahua cross. A good marker and Bayer.

Hi mate been doing this for a long time. It,s not just about coursing. It,s about the hole thing. All this crap about the best from the best.Who has the best apart from me lol.To get the very best we would all have to interact. When we cant talk over a key board so that,s out.We all stick to our own cleak,s.And shout we have the best.Witch bring,s me back to the start who has the best.now my head is totally f--ked you work it out.atb.
