A night out shooting with Festa

Hi all,

 

I just thought that I’d put up a quick post from yesterday and last night.

 

The tree rat was caught in one of my own made tree rat traps up at the pheasant pens and then humanely dispatched with an air rifle.

 

The rabbits were shot by me and Festa when we went out last night doing a bit of lamping.

 

To spite a full moon which I don’t think is good for lamping; there were plenty of rabbits out. This I think was due to the 15 degrees temperature that we had until 2300hrs where I shoot, (a rare treat in North Yorkshire).

 

The majority of the rabbits were shot from ranges of 15 metres to 30 metres with the longest shot being a lovely 50 metre head shot using a laser as a range finder and my Custom GunPower Storm.

 

Hopefully next time Wuzzy mate you will get a descent bag with us.

 

Without lying and I know Festa will back me up 100% on this. Last night we saw well over 200 bunnies on my permission and a massive dog fox that is getting some large calibre tomorrow night and Monday when i go out with the Game Keeper.

 

Picture is Festa with his bag and my new bunny ambushing suit that i made this afternoon for that big tree Festa where we sat waiting last night.

yes it was a good but strange night whilst zini was taken some amazing shots i couldnt hit a barn door with a tractor so with that i became the 1st hunting member of the save the rabbit campain lol .... but after stripping my pro sport today i found a damaged baffel in the barrel which has now been removed so roll on our next trip out ... ill need to zero again but hopefully we should double our bag .... on another point mr zini that gillie suit does make it easier to look at ur face hehehe sry mate couldnt resist .... (can i have 1 )

Ill have to see what i can do for you Festa. Maybe i can get hold of one already made through my mate.

 

Festa if someone is using a damaged gun to shoot its only understandable that they wouldnt hit every thing that they were aiming at. You did well to get what you did considering the fact that your gun wasnt 100% functioning mate.

 

Im sure there are readers on here that dont get regularly what you got if their honest when their gun is working properly, nemind with a inop baffle mate.

 

I think if im dressed in that suit sat at the bottom of that tree in the big cow field or where we saw them rabbits run into that big set the first day Festa will be great. I think it will be ideal for ambushing bunnies and crows etc.
