Had a look out with the .222 at a local farm where theyve had a bit of trouble with foxes amongst ducks .This is a regular thing as the trouble is ongoing ,the farmer not the sharpest tool in the box and refuses to lock up fowl until he goes to bed !.Most of the population is lamp shy now so will be dug later .This individual ,however came belting in to my squeek and realised at 20yds he had made a big mistake and made a "U" turn just as fast.I always treat every fox as if its my last and so got the scope on him as he moved off .Maintaining a lead ,I squeezed off a round and was pleased to see charlie roll over into a patch of stingers .Nice .Walked the whole farm and saw 4 more or rather the flicker of 4 more .They were gone.

The farmer lets a couple of local lads do a bit with a shot gun and they lamp it most nights .

Nice, clean looking fox, mate :good:

Let's a couple of lads loose with lamp and 12 bore, eh? Not the sharpest tool, is he?

Anyway, of course; I'm not in the least bit envious of all you rifle toting boys. Oh no. Not at all. I Always turn Green about this time of day! :icon_eek:

Obviously a cub Foxdropper. They come like f**k this time of year. I went out last week for a look about and seen one a good way off. Did a very light squeak and it couldn't come in fast enough...it was nearly in the cab with me. I turned the light off and left it alone. Baldies arriving this week :clapper: . The week before I saw eight on different spots! :D Good shooting though, on the run. ;)

Good going mate :clapper:

I hate it when you have to share permission with other people as it can be ruined by constant lamping.

I prefer to only do one patch of ground every 2 or 3 weeks , giving it time to settle down.

Out last nite and picked a few up :D

This ground wont be lamped now for a couple of weeks

Nights like that are to be cherished , they dont happen that often around our neck of the woods :clapper:

Cheers Foxhunter. :)

Im starting lamping at the end of the month, cant wait, some places are walking with them. ;)

Foxdropper ........Good shooting

What hardware are you using ?........i see your not tempted to put a mod on your rifle or is one pending ;)

I know it can be frustrating having a permission overlamped .........One of mine is subject to the so called dog walking brigade with a lightforce and all the diffusers ..........Unlike the above situation these have no right to be on this land and as a result i now shoot on it at the crack of Dawn .
