Guest JOEB
Had a lucky escape last night, was out lamping a few bunnies on the local golf course (weathers been fantastic) and decide to let the dogs have a run free. Got my little beddy x, saluki x grey bitza thingy and my russell, soon as I let em off they start to work through some very long grass and all of a sudden they put out a big old boar badger. As soon as I seen the fecking thing, I have an image of some smashed dogs, nothing to start the season proper with and large vets bills I always practice recall training at every oppertunity and never let them get away with ignoring me, I am very hard about it. I figure that if my dogs heading towards a hazard, I want to be able to stop it in its tracks..........well I give em the call and the 2 lurchers are straight back, another call and even the russell turn back (all be it with a very pissed off look in his eyes). Just shows that working on something as small as recall can save you a lot of agro. JOEB Quote Link to post
