bullx 12
Hello all, just started back shooting and a nice day out for myself with my Brno .223 and my son [14] and a Brno .22. not a bad day out,two foxes for myself, one at 160 yards and one a little under 100yards, my son shot one at yards with his .22 using a subsonic, not very big foxes but three foxes all the same,so a good start to the season. Wanted to say aswell that the hollow point 50 gr made shit of the foxes head at a hundred yards, and the other one it left a very big hole in him. Edited September 5, 2009 by bullx Quote Link to post

bullx 12
NO SHOOTING SEASON ON THEM HERE IN IRELAND,...BUT WITH ME I STOP SHOOTING THEM DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS AS IT GIVES THEM A CHANCE TO BREED,.........AND AS YOU ALL KNOW LADS AND LADIES IF YOU KILL EVERYTHING THERE WILL BE NOTHING LEFT TO SHOOT,...IF THE ODD ONE IS CAUSING A PROBLEM DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS THEN THE TERRIERS OR THE RIFLE COME OUT OFF THEIR HOLIDAYS. bullx 12
yes true,if you keep culling them you will find you have to travel further and further afield to find them,so if you give shooting a break during their breeding season then you get more results when the season starts, Quote Link to post
