hotticulture 0
I've grown up with two whippets but am dogless at the moment... both caught rabbits and hare but were also pack members of the family, mixing in with kids, cats, hiking, horses, other dogs and open fires! Ideally i would like to get a good natured, steady bitch as a pup that would be a family member but also a good hunting compadre! Although i've always fancied a lurcher - whippet x collie or bedlington, i'm not sure if they'd need more training or are less compatible as a family pet and a working dog? Also our last dog had really bad trouble with her feet that ended up being very costly with the vet - is it ture that a whippet X would have sturdier paws? Any advice including where to look for one or who to buy one from would be welcome - we're in scotland but would travel... Thanks! Quote Link to post

How can you tell if good feet when pup? Just by looking at parents? Cheers again. Quote Link to post
