I'm looking at either a Lynpery, Mike Brown Dog's, or a dog from down the new forest way. Need to get it sorted though as she came into season yesterday !! Any thoughts from you guy's on here ? hi mate i have a lynperry dog( blue in colour) and a black sooty sam dog ... they both kc reg.. but best thing is i dont live far from you.... black dog has fathered 3 litters one 9 pups ... one 6 pups ... one due the 27 november ....blue dog not been put to bitch yet.... so let me know Quote Link to post

Looks to have bull blood in it to me i would have to agree with mally, im sure mb has added this- fair play but there not what you think your buying iam in greement with mallys as well,,,,the whippet is too well built,,,,me having a b.w.r.a whippet and mally help to deliver ,,which i always greatfull,,as he was born doncater and iam from scotland,,,and b.w.r.a whippets were commanly breed from bull in the 1930,s to 40,s,,,,,,,and i myself has helped deliver in past bully whippets in past 1980,s & 90,s,,,,,,but i do think these throw backs should be given there slot in whippet,s,,like i said in above they have there qualities,,,( built , power,,,and iways aim to please,,& belive it or not there starting abbiltie is unmached overe the 100 yrd dash ),,,,,,,,,but there turning abbillitiy for me is there weakest point ) me and my uncle used to arguee over stamina,,,,,and yes he was right ,,k,c whippets have the biggest hearts,i,e more stamima-----but if u have a fit whippet type trained for stamia,,,they dont let u down,,as any type off whippet at there best ,,,will always suprise the most doutfull hunter,,there a great breed and very versitile i have had a 36lb whippet take roe but have trouble in depatching its prey,,,,but a bully whippet will do the dispatch job in 1/2 the time,,,,,,,probably not as good as other lurcher breeds but when ur 900 meters away in daytime,,,u want ur strongest whippet to do the job till u get there,,and streanth and jaw power helps but then to be honest whippet were breed for rabbits,,,,,i will always sit on the fence here,,,,but it is nice have a bully whippet at hand,,,,like i said they have there place iam not suprised ,,,there tends to be a alot off breeding ( whippet x bull ),,,,,i wouldnt say no to a 3/4 whippet x 1/4 bull,,,,,they must bring the owners great pleasure Quote Link to post
