go for a stud from mike brown he is 15 mins away from me i have all my dogs from him the guy knows this breed inside out!!! they are all proven working if you want his number or website just let me know and ill put them up for you the dogs and pups are very well looked after he is my choice he will compliment your dog with the best out there im sure my new pup from him comes in november ill put some pics up when the bitch arrives...

I'm very doubtful that the black dog is a genuine kc whippet. Look at it's head and loin very suspicous looking to me. Looks to have bull blood in it to me

Some cracking ideas,opinions and info there guy's, thanks for the input. I'm looking at either a Lynpery, Mike Brown Dog's, or a dog from down the new forest way. Need to get it sorted though as she came into season yesterday !! Any thoughts from you guy's on here ?

hi mate i have a lynperry dog( blue in colour) and a black sooty sam dog ... they both kc reg.. but best thing is i dont live far from you.... black dog has fathered 3 litters one 9 pups ... one 6 pups ... one due the 27 november ....blue dog not been put to bitch yet.... so let me know

nice powerful black whippet if u have there,,,,i have a very powerful b,w,r,a whippet picture below,,,,,athough he might be frowed apon in racing terms as might ur dog in hunting ,,,due too size & bulit,,,there,s no gettin away from the fact these built whippet,s bring to the breeding table,,,,( power & jaw power --being not to bad from the whippet side,,if put on bigger game,,,)

 

i did noticed if pll,s breed down to a whippet,,,but dont want to lose to much built,,and power ur dog would defentily fitt the bill,,,but there is pro,s and cons ,,,,but i dont see u ,,,quite when it comes to breeding as these built whippets have there uses ,,for some peoples,,,,,( and i have to addimit there very powerful beasts,,for there size ) mine never lets me down ,,,his recall is amazing and always aims to please,,,,maybe thats some bull blood showing threw from away in the past,,,but i wouldnt change him for the world

iam in greement with mallys as well,,,,the whippet is too well built,,,,me having a b.w.r.a whippet and mally help to deliver ,,which i always greatfull,,as he was born doncater and iam from scotland,,,and b.w.r.a whippets were commanly breed from bull in the 1930,s to 40,s,,,,,,,and i myself has helped deliver in past bully whippets in past 1980,s & 90,s,,,,,,but i do think these throw backs should be given there slot in whippet,s,,like i said in above they have there qualities,,,( built , power,,,and iways aim to please,,& belive it or not there starting abbiltie is unmached overe the 100 yrd dash ),,,,,,,,,but there turning abbillitiy for me is there weakest point )

 

me and my uncle used to arguee over stamina,,,,,and yes he was right ,,k,c whippets have the biggest hearts,i,e more stamima-----but if u have a fit whippet type trained for stamia,,,they dont let u down,,as any type off whippet at there best ,,,will always suprise the most doutfull hunter,,there a great breed and very versitile

 

i have had a 36lb whippet take roe but have trouble in depatching its prey,,,,but a bully whippet will do the dispatch job in 1/2 the time,,,,,,,probably not as good as other lurcher breeds but when ur 900 meters away in daytime,,,u want ur strongest whippet to do the job till u get there,,and streanth and jaw power helps

 

but then to be honest whippet were breed for rabbits,,,,,i will always sit on the fence here,,,,but it is nice have a bully whippet at hand,,,,like i said they have there place

just to point out he is no peddlar he breeds when his phone rings and does not when the phone is quiet he works full time so if he was breeding for pure profit then trust me at average of £250 a pup he could sit on the dole and lap it up... he breeds a lot yes but hey just shows how popular the lads dogs are...

alright gentlemen just reading your comment about the size of the whippets making yous doubt there true breeding. 15year ago i had pedigree show whippet full papered kc registered 42 champions(at prancing about)on his papers he was 23inches 40lb worked everything during the day and was of the scale in the lamp a true gift fae god honestly boys.so seeing this ma cousin gets a pup of the same stuff and ends up with a 20inch yellping muppet of a dog .hes also on his third whippet since then all from the same stuff(all opening up) and hes never matched the one i had .so out of five whippets between us there was one that made the grade .and that one ma 23inch freak so a wouldnae dout the black dog boys .big ones do existe.
