ferret_uk 4
One of my springer bitches has just came in season i have never bothered breeding of her as she has no papers or anything and really thought it would be pointless but i am wanting to keep a pup for my self as she is a real cracking bitch. do you think i will have poblems getting rid of the pups with them having no papers? what price would i be looking at? thanks ferret_uk Quote Link to post
poacher3161 1,766
I have just recently sold a litter though she only had 3 pups one was gifted to a lad on here and the other two i sold for £150 apeice and lads had been waiting 2 years.Even though she is not paperd up do try and get the best dog available to line her.I dont think £200 a pup is to much to ask for honest breeding without papers.atvb dell Quote Link to post
nercwys 10
Can you send or put a picture of her on here mate would love to see her.I have a dog i would love to breed he has full papers mate. Quote Link to post
rickyspringer 15
£200 is a fair price, you see some paperless for £300 but thats being all abou the £££. If the dog is quality and you line her with a good stamp of a dog many people aren't bothered about the papers...there was a thread on here not so long ago regarding that. Not being funny or anything though is this the dog which you had up for sale just recently...past few days?? Quote Link to post
ferret_uk 4
i was waiting for someone 2 ask that NO its not the bitch that was for sale. If you read my first post its quoted ' one of my springers' thanks for the info wil get pics up soon ferret_uk Quote Link to post
rickyspringer 15
okay no worries mate, you didn't mention anything about having another Springer when you took this one off your parents, look at your topic post regarding it, you only mentioned about having Lurchers and you wanted to know which way to go about training a Springer, I can remember the thread. It doesn't matter anyway mate, we all have our reasons, if your wanting to keep a pup back thats fine. No argument intended. Back to the breeding have you got any stud dogs lined up, seems like alot of the lads off here are from the N.E so you may not have to travel too far. Put a real good dog to her mate, get in the vets early days and enquire regarding the docking and so on. Get everything planned for a nice litter. Keep us posted Quote Link to post
ferret_uk 4
This will be my first time breeding a dog mate but i have been reading up on everything for a few month now. Only problem is every bit of information i have read tells you diffrent stuff lol and has got me abit baffled to be honest. You might be able to put things easier. When should i introuduce the stud dog she has been in for 3 days now? How many time should i allow the stud dog to line her? Yea mate i ahve my eye on a cracking dog thanks ferret_uk Quote Link to post
merle 0
Hi mate the time is from 10 to 14 days on most bitches mate her twice maybe day 11 and day 13 or so on let her see/play with the dog she will know when she is ready. rickyspringer 15
good news mate, get everything in place now, a vet which will dock, and a whelping box organised or a safe place for them to go. Tell us abit about the stud and what price you after Quote Link to post
ferret_uk 4
thanks mate. The stud was bred by a game keeper in scotland and used for the local shoot aswell as bushing. The bitch is just a bushing and flushing dog for my lurchers but does her job really well. I am asking £200 for the pups dogs and bitches. Wil get pics up of dam and sir soon thanks ferret_uk Quote Link to post
