when my dog smashed the 750 track record running the st ledger i had the usuall back patters and well wishers and a few people asking how he was bred etc etc etc ... then a groupe of fellows starting asking what he was like on game i bet he would be a good hare dog etc etc etc .... so i told them he had a damaged right shoulder and could only bank a bend to his left if he jinked right he would pop his shoulder .... without another word they just walked away .........

Dont think a padlock would stop them boys. CCTV the only way

Cameras cant grab you ... for every piece of security, theres a way around it .. my mates got cameras with sensors which set of a sound in the house. All you do is put tape over it ... n off goes the sound ... if you've got good mates go see the gypo camps round your area or move your dogs elsewhere. Its a difficult situation

Back in the early 90's when I still lived in the UK I had a dog that was a traveller magnet. He was a saluki x collie/grey a real looker tall racy and a very nice blue merle to boot. I would get stopped walking him all the time, a transit van would pull up and money would be waved out the window. I would say no but they would follow me offering more and more money.

When this happened the last thing I wanted to do was walk home, I would got to the pub instead until they left. they never did find out where I lived, sadly the dog was killed at 2 1/2 by a train while chasing a fox.

all the best Dirtwinger
