Anyone else done it? what type of chutney?? made some spicy apple chutney yesterday for a goats cheese salad was nice made a stock syrup with sugar water reduced by half the added a little white wine vinegar reduced again then added my apples de pipped with seasonings a few cloves salt cracked pepper reduced this till it was a thinker consistency and p left to cool then ref ridged it ready to use later... thats basically how i done it not very good at writing recipes so could not give you pres ice amounts Quote Link to post Share on other sites
wunwin 0 Posted August 13, 2006 Author Report Share Posted August 13, 2006 well i chucked in plums, onion runner and french beans and 2 corgettes, brown sugar and vinegar. simmered for f*****g ever, till it got a bit thicker, and jarred it. in 2 months time i will try it, but i recon it cost £50 in gas to cook it!!!!!!!!!
